Welcome
The Electronic Materials Committee is a technical committee focused on semiconductor and integrated circuit materials, processes, devices, and systems. Established in 1961 (Showa 36), it has a long and distinguished history.
This committee hosts the annual "Symposium on Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits Technology." Its predecessor, the Semiconductor Materials Symposium, began in the 1960s and has accompanied the development of Japan’s semiconductor and integrated circuit technology over many years. Recently, with the remarkable advancements in IoT and AI, increasing attention has been drawn to cutting-edge nanoelectronics, power devices, and three-dimensional heterogeneous integration.
Additionally, as part of the conferences of the Electrochemical Society of Japan, the "Electronic Materials and Nano-Functional Device Symposium" is held, providing a platform for discussions on material, process, and device technologies, covering both fundamental and applied research.
These symposia feature invited and special lectures as well as general presentations, offering young researchers and students opportunities to showcase their research findings.
